ABOUT THE JOB:

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data for the company. This position is also responsible for the timely and accurate set-up and maintenance of operational and financial system master files on multiple databases to ensure adequate control, data integrity and unconstrained productivity of other system users.



  • Incorporate New/Exit business strategies into the department and modify tables within all systems to accommodate these changes
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Prepare various ad-hoc reports upon request related to research, data mining and custom reports.
  • Function as department contact for numerous IT-related projects including new technological features for customers, and various other testing/system enhancements.
  • Setting up new customer and supplier accounts in dual ERP systems (JDE and AS400)
  • Maintaining/creating custom General Ledger guides and online invoicing access for customers
  • Facilitate the setup of expense vendors using validated W-9s and approved invoices
  • Maintain a variety of data in dual ERP systems as well as within Oracle
  • Work error reports and clear non-standard issues
  • Assist with testing system enhancements and coaching/training teammates on the changes
  • Other job duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a high level of data entry accuracy
  • Work with strict deadlines and be able to prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
