DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

To work with the Testing/Inspection Teams to test and inspect products ensuring compliance to global standards and work with Research & Development (R&D) to test-fit components, build prototypes, and assist in product development



TEST/INSPECTION LAB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Assist Test Engineers with:

*Daily activities, such as test set-ups, data collection and test tear downs

*Test request submission review, test sample inspections and report generation

*Development of new test fixtures and making improvements to existing test equipment

*Routine inspections, regular maintenance and compliance checks on test equipment

*Assist Inspectors with:

*Routine inspections on dimensional, material and finish specifications

*Inspection request submission review, inspection sample review and report generation



R&D RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Work in R&D Build Shop assembling prototype units from drawings and preliminary Bill of Materials (BOM's) and preparing test/inspection samples

*Assist with rework of finished goods or components as necessary in any location deemed suitable

*Work in R&D Machine Shop, when necessary, with proper cross-training



GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

*Transition from project to project in an efficient manner

*Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management

*Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training

*Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment

*Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

*Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times

*Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary



REQUIRED SKILLS

*Must be a friendly team player, professional, detail-oriented and honest

Must have the ability to:

*Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

*Use electrical tools (i.e. multi-meter, oscilloscope, soldering iron and crimp tools)

*Use mechanical tools (i.e. force gauge, torque wrench, hand tools and standard power tools)

*Use precision measuring instruments which includes micrometers and calipers

*Read and comprehend work instructions

*Prepare and present summary reports

*Lift/push/pull 50 lbs.

Must have:

*Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

*Basic mathematical and reading skills

*Basic understanding of electrical and control circuits

*Strong mechanical aptitude

*Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills



PREFERRED SKILLS

*Basic working knowledge of Lean Principles preferred



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*No experience required



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

*At least 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience in an environment supporting design, manufacturing, or technical processes preferred

*At least 1 year of experience in the assembly of prototypes or a similar environment preferred

*Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred



REQUIRED EDUCATION

*High School Diploma or GED



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
