The role of the Database administrator is to manage the Microsoft SQL Server Environment as well as function as part of the Identity and Access Management team at UNCW. This individual will also participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the UNCW MSSQL and IAM environments are consistent with university goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining Institution wide systems. Additionally, they will need to work with other departments to assess and minimize impacts on outside systems.

The position duties include:

A Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of technical experience, or a Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience.

Infrastructure & Operations Services is responsible for the planning, installation, management and support of UNCW's central computing and storage infrastructure. This includes the infrastructure supporting advanced research computing, distance education and other academic initiatives.
