Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Technical Recruiter to join a team delivering all facets of the recruiting life cycle throughout the organization. This position requires a motivated self-starter who is confident in their ability to communicate technical requirements across diverse technical fields. The recruiter operates under minimal supervision and acts with a high degree of independence.

Responsibilities:

This position requires someone who is highly motivated, a self-starter, excellent organization skills, a strong work ethic, and is a dedicated team player.



  • Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to gather necessary details for the position and draft requisition.
  • Posts position within applicant tracking system using approved template.
  • Collaborate with manager to design interview/screening questions.
  • Review resumes and pre-screen candidates as they apply to determine if minimum qualifications are met prior to passing along to manager for consideration.
  • Follow up with manager on status of candidates weekly and provide update to manager on the status of recruiting efforts at a minimum of a bi-weekly basis.
  • Proactively source candidates using available resources.
  • Partner with Sourcing Specialist on urgent needs and hard to fill positions as needed.
  • Record recruiting and sourcing activities daily using open requisition tracker.
  • Collaborate with hiring manager on hiring decisions, ensure offers are aligned with compensation structure for position and extend offers to selected candidate.
  • Disposition and communicate to those candidates not selected appropriately.
  • After offer has been accepted by candidate, notify all stakeholders of the new hire.
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met.
  • Attend career fairs as needed.
  • Conduct EEO/AA, Veteran and disability outreach efforts.
  • Cultivate a spirit of collaboration and cooperation with the Recruiting and HR teams to ensure smooth and efficient company operations.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required.
  • 5 years of relevant recruiting experience is required.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing demands.
  • U.S. Citizenship required



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Talent Management and MS SharePoint experience.
  • Government Contracting Recruiting experience preferred.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification
