JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: ThePenn State SchoolofInternational Affairs(SIA) in University Park invites applications for aProfessor ofPracticeposition to begin in the fall 2025 semester. The person hired will teach courses in our Master of International Affairs program with the expectation that mostofthe teaching will take place in person. In addition, theProfessorofPracticewill spend time engaging with students outsideofthe classroomandadvising students. The successful candidate will have the professionalandeducational background necessary to teach courses in international affairs. We are especially interested in candidates with the ability to teach courses focused on national and international security and diplomacy. Applicants should have a decade or moreofhigh-level leadership experience in the private or public sectors outside academia that would provide a background and wealth of knowledge that brings added value when shared with the SIA's students and faculty. Applications must include a CV or expanded resume, cover letter addressing how the candidate's work is relevant to the focusofthe position, sample publications relevant to the position (if available),andteaching interests. This position is a benefits-eligible, non-tenure-line academic appointment for one year, with a possibilityofrenewal upon successful reviewofandmutual agreement with the incumbent. CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
