Position Overview:

We are looking for a student intern with business acumen who is self-motivated and has a desire to learn. The IT Project Manager Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in coordinating projects, working closely with cross-functional teams, and contributing to process improvements that drive organizational success. Essential Functions:

  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in planning and managing IT projects from initiation to closure.
  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings, including preparing agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Create and distribute regular project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing project management templates, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Interest in pursuing a certification in project management or Agilepreferred.
  • Experience using or knowledge of collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Miro.
  • Experience working independently on projects and within a distributed team environment.
  • Experience managing or participating in group academic projects or extracurricular activities related to technology or project management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Self-motivated, eager to contribute, and excellent customer service delivery.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlineswith strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate an ability to analyze data, interpret results, and seek solutions.

The Team: Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the intern will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers and will be assigned a team member as a Peer Contact.

Work Style: Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. As a company, we are always willing to discuss potential flexibility that an employee may need to better suit their work-life wellbeing.
