Join our dynamic team as a Staff Accountant! The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accounting reconciliations, reporting, statistics and analysis of weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly operating results. The role will also be involved in long-term financial planning and budgeting. This highly visible position supports the Controller and interacts with key operational leaders of various business units. The position requires the ability and drive to provide high quality, accurate, work products within tight timeframes.

Essential Duties:



  • Prepares accounting entries and reconciliations
  • Provides statistics & analysis of various business units
  • Assists with periodic budget/forecast submissions
  • Uses Oracle and Excel to develop financial reports and analytics
  • Assists in various ad-hoc reporting, statistics, and analysis as needed
  • Assists the Controller with various projects such as audits
  • Provides general accounting support as needed


Working Conditions:



  • Office Environment
  • Occasional exposure to Terminal environment


Minimum Requirements:



  • BS / BA degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA not required)
  • 2+ years of relevant FP&A experience
  • 2+ years of intermediate Excel experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1+ years of experience with Oracle, BPC, SAP or similar financial systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP principles
  • Strong experience with MS Excel including lookups, pivot tables, power query, and charts
  • Ability to work accurately under very tight timeframes
  • Analytical skills to identify variances
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to properly interact with supporting staff and business units
  • Navigates effectively in a changing environment where competing priorities require flexibility and agility
  • Highly motivated self-starter who works well with others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with an understanding of checks and balances
