* Provide supervision and coordination of snow plowing and removal; sweeping and cleaning; pavement repair and maintenance; and maintenance and repair of malls and plazas, including pools, fountains, grass areas, etc.
* Analyze and coordinate maintenance techniques and procedures used to ensure the most effective utilization of the available maintenance funds.
* Prepare annual budgetary requests for all work areas, including originating requests for capital equipment purchases, development of performance management information and evaluation to make recommendations for changes in programs, policies and procedures.
* Conduct investigations and respond to surveys of various street maintenance activities to provide technical evaluations of all maintenance and construction materials, equipment and related products.
* Responsible for quality control, durability and serviceability of construction products and operations.
* Represent the Street Maintenance Division in public relations efforts, including responding to complaints and questions from the public and communicating with elected officials and city personnel.
* Coordinate cooperative technical agreements with other governmental agencies and various City departments for snow removal and street maintenance activities.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office setting with some fieldwork. This position will be fully on-site.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five years progressive responsible experience in the management, supervision and coordination of various Public Works activities
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Registration in the State of Minnesota as a Professional Engineer\
Selection Process: The selection process will consist of one or more of the following steps: a rating of relevant education and experience (100%).
