Position Summary |
The primary responsibility of the Grant Development Office - Graphic Designer and Editor is to provide support in graphic design and editing for grant applications, journal manuscripts, research presentations, etc. for members of Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Graphic design will be the primary responsibility, using programs such as PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Biorender, etc. With additional time, this person will work as a member of the existing editing team. This position will work with faculty, to determine what needs to be represented graphically in their work, and support initial drafting of those graphics, as well as honing and tailoring of existing graphics. This role will ensure graphics are embedded into work in such a way that fidelity is retained across various mediums. When editing text, they will provide suggestions to improve flow, structure, and logic of research proposals. They will also review format and headings to improve alignment with grant mechanism requirements. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of visual/graphic arts experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
- Experience in graphic design and editing
- Expertise with word processing, and graphics software (including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint), Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Biorender or equivalent) |
