About the Opportunity:

The Human Resources Business Partner will oversee HR operations and safety initiatives at Pursuit Aerospace's Prescott, AZ, manufacturing site. With a focus on fostering a supportive and safe work environment, this role combines HR expertise with safety leadership to drive employee engagement, compliance, and workplace well-being. The Prescott site employs approximately 60 people and generates around $20 million in revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee HR operations by managing recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations to build a positive, inclusive work culture.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing needs and facilitating strong connections between the team and leadership.
  • Lead EH&S programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote workplace safety, and minimize potential hazards.
  • Partner with site leadership to drive people strategies aligned with company goals, supporting retention, performance, and training initiatives.
  • Engage with employees on the production floor to identify and address safety or HR-related concerns, enhancing overall employee well-being.
  • Provide policy guidance and ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and EH&S regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs to promote a culture of safety and responsibility across the site.
  • Coordinate incident investigations and risk assessments to promote continuous improvement in safety practices and policies.
  • Administer HR and EH&S record-keeping to ensure accuracy in HRIS, safety data, and employee records.
  • Assist the site by managing data entry, maintaining data collection sheets, updating the ERP system, and handling various administrative tasks.
  • Travel occasionally to support EH&S and HR initiatives at other Pursuit Aerospace sites as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Occupational Safety, or a related field, or equivalent experience in HR or safety support.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR and/or EH&S roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with HR systems.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset and the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions typically include both office and shop floor environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor.
  • Lifting up to 20-30 lbs. may be occasionally required.
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.

Must be willing and able to work onsite full-time in Prescott, AZ. This position is not eligible for relocation.
