Genesis10 is currently seeking a Python Developer with our client in the financial industry located in New York, NY. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Actively manage internal & external dependencies Requirements: 5-8 years of experience as a software developer with specific experience working in Build / Release Management 3+ years of developing software in the python programming language Significant experience in creating and executing software release plans in a high-dependency shared technology environment Good problem solving and strong analytical and diagnostic skills as well as attention to detail Experience in working with high transaction/volume processing applications Self-starter, independent thinker with excellent communication Ability to work in fast development environment and quickly adapt to the changes Able to diagnose build failures, automated test failures Understanding of development build paradigms, and experience managing multiple environment-specific builds for a single application Extensive experience with version control systems such as Git, and CVS Good understanding of the SDLC/Agile processes and ability to work with agile methodology Ability to handle multiple asks concurrently; able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines Very good verbal and written communications skills and is well-organized Competent database/SQL skills Collaborative working style and can work effectively as part of a cross-functional agile team Prior experience in the Investment Banking / Capital Markets Prior experience in applications that deal with FX trading systems, or high scaling transaction-oriented systems Demonstrable knowledge in managing the builds and release of Java/Python Applications Prior experience in client Quartz platform Desired skills: Build Manager Pay Range: $58.26 - $66.26 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
