Job Summary: Support the Strategic Sourcing function by preparing, sending, analyzing, and reporting findings for supplier RFQs. Coordinate and execute sourcing activities in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing Managers. Maintain supplier pricing and pricing files.

Accountability and Scope:

• The Strategic Sourcing Specialist provides ongoing RFQ data to the chemical supply base for competitive pricing, lead time, and availability.
• They provide timely updates to Strategic Sourcing Managers on RFQs and engage in process improvements.
• They also assist in sourcing efforts for substitute or one-off products.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, submit, analyze, and summarize all RFQs sent to the supply base.
• Work with Strategic Sourcing Managers and Operations teams to develop the RFQ syllabus at the start of each calendar year.
• Contribute to and draft market deck information for internal/external distribution.

Education:

• At least 5 years of experience in the chemical industry.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate's Degree with a focus in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, preferred.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word), including working with spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, and importing/exporting data files.
• Familiar with navigating Qlik Sense.
• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to research thoroughly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Detail-oriented, focused on completing tasks. Capable of meeting and exceeding deadlines.
• Able to interact professionally with internal and external customers as well as the chemical supply base via phone, email, and in-person.
• Ability to solve basic or routine problems following established policies and procedures; more difficult problems or challenges should be escalated to a senior member of the team or Manager for additional direction.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding and instruction to find the best and reasonable solutions to work through problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
