THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of the Bureau of Human Services Licensing in the Office of Long-Term Living, you will conduct inspections for the purpose of enforcing state laws and regulations governing the licensing of personal care homes and assisted living residences to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of personal care home and assisted living residence clients. In this role, you will conduct inspections of facilities to ensure regulations are being met, conduct investigations, identify violations, and review these violations with the facility staff. You will travel in the Central Region to oversee the licensing requirements of personal care homes and assisted living residences. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
  • This is a home headquartered position which will require you to be headquartered at your home and travel to worksites to complete your work duties. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
  • Travel: You will be required to travel to the Central Region which includes Somerset, Cambria, Blair, Bedford, Huntingdon, Fulton, Franklin, Mifflin, Juniata, Perry, Cumberland, Adams, Dauphin, York, Lebanon, and Lancaster counties.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, Somerset, or York counties.
