HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Manager to work on a major construction program for our client in Orlando, FL.
Primary Responsibilities
- Function as the Technical Specialist in the field
- Supervise professionals, technicians and inspector teams, as needed
- Review geotechnical engineering designs, plans, reports, specifications, shop drawings, and RFIs
- Develop estimates for geotechnical sub projects on the master contract
- Develop and oversee geotechnical subsurface characterization programs for routine work
- Oversee teams responsible for foundation, vibration, slope stability, settlement, and seepage analysis
- Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Prior management experience
- Experience working on highway/roadway construction sites
- Experience with FDOT or Florida Turnpike projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications, MicroStation or other software as appropriate
- Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement, seepage and deep foundation response software, as appropriate
- Experience with Bentley suite of geotechnical data management and visualization software (gINT/OpenGround/LeapFrog)
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
