HDR is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to work on a major construction program for our client. This position can be located in Orlando or Pompano Beach, FL.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Conduct slope stability, soil analysis and other geotechnical engineering studies
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or PE license
• Prior experience working with FDOT or Florida Turnpike
