The Red Lion Team is seeking a QA Specialist II on First (1st) shift.

Summary:

Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations. Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures and systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17025 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, document control, corrective actions, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.



Major Position Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

    Prepares and implements Quality Assurance policies, procedures & review cycles
  • Maintains and updates internal audit programs and required audit schedules
  • Participates in audits and creates audit reports
  • Evaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions
  • Maintains and improves Quality Management System and generate reports as needed
  • Creates, updates & leads Quality training as needed
  • May administer the material review boards & database
  • May also lead or support various projects as assigned


Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Quality Assurance or other related degree preferred
  • 2-4 years' experience
  • OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality Assurance or other related degree preferred
  • Internal Auidt Certification
  • Lead Auditor Certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Batch Testing.
  • Inspection.
  • Nondestructive Testing.
  • Product QA.
  • Quality Assurance Process.
  • Quality Improvement.
  • Quality Inspection.
  • Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery
  • This position is Safety Sensitive
  • May be requested to work a different shift

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 25% travel likely.
