Job Summary (Primary function)

This position will be responsible for managing the day to day implementation of contracts and pull through strategies with Incyte Specialty Distribution and Specialty Pharmacy customers for Incyte's current and future Oncology product portfolio within the US market. This candidate, with oversight from the Sr. Director, Trade Relations, will partner with Market Access, Product Strategy, Commercial Operations, Finance, Pharmacovigilance, Patient Services and Legal to implement strategies intended to support product demand and limit script abandonment in specialty pharmacy markets. Additional responsibilities would include initial product stocking initiatives and implementing innovative contracting strategies with specific pharmacy targets in Oncology. An overall knowledge of managed markets, reimbursement, pricing, and contracting are must have skill sets as well as recent knowledge of the Oncology market. This individual will execute on strategies and implement contracts across the Oncology portfolio, provide leadership to address various contracting scenarios, provide input to Trade strategies, and implement tactics to maximize market share. The candidate should be familiar with various contracting approaches and relevant topics across oncology therapies for both infused and oral oncology therapies. This role requires 4 days in the office and allows for 1 day remote.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

* Establish and manage strong relationships and contractual agreements with trade partners.

* Manage all aspects of specialty pharmacy and/or distribution accounts including contracting, performance reviews, new program/service offerings and overall customer relationships.

* Responsible for monitoring, measuring, evaluating contract performance and network efficiency/effectiveness for Specialty Pharmacies and Specialty Distributors and communicating performance to both internal and external stakeholders.

* Evaluate service requirements (e.g. turnaround time, compliance initiatives, data) to drive specialty pharmacy performance and network optimization.

* Develop and implement performance criteria and enhanced service offerings with Incyte's specialty distributors.

* Develop and implement performance requirements/metrics to ensure timely access to Incyte medications; deliver high quality patient services in various pharmacy channels that align to brand objectives.

* Maintain a deep understanding of the Specialty Pharmacy & Specialty Distribution channels; understand pharmacy capabilities and the competitive pharmacy marketplace to ensure that Incyte maintains an industry leading approach to patient support in specialty pharmacy channels.

* Assess, develop, and present internal and external business presentations and channel reimbursement that will inform Incyte senior management on evolving channel business dynamics.

* Support the Sr. Director, Trade Relations in various roles/responsibilities to achieve financial targets/business objectives for Incyte's product portfolio; assist in Channel Strategy development and refinement.

* Ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of new distribution initiatives that contribute to Incyte's reputation as a valued pharma manufacturer with a rapidly advancing R & D portfolio.

* Contribute to weekly distribution team meetings on important market issues such as IDN dispensing, Incyte's 340B policies, SP network objectives, specialty pharmacy point of sale programs, unique contracting approaches for specialty dispensing and other important trends impacting pharmacy dispensing.

* Collaborate with Incyte Finance on Accounts Receivable issues, product pricing, GTN calculations, fee for service arrangements and product inventory levels.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

* Significant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and 2 years of contracting experience

* Experience with oncology therapies, oncology oral, IV and biologic agents required

* Proven track record of account management performance

* Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, PharmD, PhD) a plus

* Experience in distribution, marketing, finance, sales management, strategy, GPO & payer contracting

* Experience in building & managing limited distribution networks for orphan and rare disease products in hematology and oncology

* Understanding of the US commercial and government healthcare and reimbursement environment

* Knowledge and experience with government programs, such as 340B, State Medicaid, Medicare Part D

* In-depth knowledge of managed care and state and federal reimbursement sectors

* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

* Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

* Ability to rapidly assimilate information and to prioritize and manage multiple projects

* Ability to travel 15-20% of the time for various individual & national customer meetings

* Experience and knowledge of various point of sale programs for specialty pharmacy
