Global Product Director, Telehandlers

Job Description:

The key responsibility of the Global Product Director, Telehandlers, is to manage the telehandler product portfolio with end-to-end accountability for P&L performance and market share, working in close collaboration with sales, marketing, engineering, operations, supply chain, and finance teams around the world. Through a deep understanding of products, markets, customer applications and competitive landscape, this position will be responsible for the telehandler product strategy, aftermarket parts strategy, new product development roadmap and go to market strategy. Additionally, this position will play a critical role in SIOP, pricing strategy and operations planning.

This position may require travel up to 30% and will require work across global time zones.

What you'll do:

Main Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Global responsibility for the Telehandler product strategy, go to market strategy and P&L performance including aftermarket,

  • Drive execution of strategic market share and margin growth initiatives,

  • Lead and participate in monthly operations and strategy execution reviews to drive improved business results,

  • Lead development of product roadmap and oversee the execution of product development through extensive knowledge and research of customer needs, market trends, customer/market segmentation, distribution channel characteristics, target market size, external environmental trends, and financial analysis,

  • Design and deliver value proposition, value messaging and sales training content,

  • Manage, mentor, and develop talent, including direct reports,

  • Collaborate with operations planning team to achieve alignment between go to market strategy, product road map and footprint roadmap,

  • Provide excellent internal customer support on product specific issues and new opportunities,

  • Support Genie SIOP process and capital investment planning,

  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive products, projects, and strategies,

  • Identify opportunities for differentiation of our products, services, and solutions that result in new products and offerings and support Genie's strategy of leading quality and lowest cost of ownership,

  • Prioritize and execute on projects, considering customer impact versus available resources,

  • Support meeting Genie diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals & initiatives,

  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the Genie strategy, and

  • Requires the ability to travel up to 30% and flexibility to work across global time zones.

What you'll bring:

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business or similar

  • Master's degree in business highly desirable

  • Previous experience with a global manufacturer in a similar role preferred

  • Strong English communication and presentation skills, additional languages are beneficial

  • Strong knowledge of business financials and P&L management

Salary: The salary range for this position is $148,000 to $170,000 USD. The salary range may be higher or lower depending on the applicant's location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
