Requirements

    Ten (10) or more years of experience in computer design, software development or computer networks
  • Have or be able to attain within 30 Days of assignment Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II certification for Cyber Security Work Force assignment
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Proficient with utilizing DevOps tools for build and patch automation (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, BMC, or Similar)
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science
  • Understanding of U.S. Navy Intelligence Operations
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Department of the Navy Intelligence disciplines including GEOINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and Track Management
  • Individual shall have any combination of relevant certifications: Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP); Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Cloud certifications


Desired Skills

  • Former U.S. Navy IT, IS, CTT or other service equivalent
  • Experience with endpoint access control and network device administration (e.g. Identity Services Engine (ISE)), Enterprise level PKI implementation and management, Routing (e.g. OSPF, BGP, route-maps, IPSEC), Firewalls (e.g. ACLs, Policy management), Switching - (e.g. vlans, trunking), Quality of Service (QoS) Experience with Distributed Common Ground System cybersecurity
  • Experience with Intelligence applications like GCCS, GALE, SOCET-GXP, FADE, LRF, Cedalion
  • Expert with MS Office applications


Description

Distributed Common Ground System-Navy (DCGS-N) Cybersecurity personnel and will be responsible for performing a full range of system cybersecurity tasks in support of DCGS-N systems. Duties will also include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the information system owner to complete security assessments, achieve system authorizations, continuous monitoring, and configuration management, through eMASS
  • Verifying patches and virus definitions are updated on the system using existing automated tools
  • Adhering to pre-defined configuration management and change management policies for authorizing software prior to its implementation on systems
  • Verifying mitigation and closure of open vulnerabilities following the DCGS-N change control process.
  • Assessing DCGS-N baselines in accordance with NIST, DoD, and DISA guidance
  • Reporting security incidents in accordance with the Command's Incident Response Plan
  • Ensuring systems are operated, used, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with all applicable security policies and practices
