What You'll do:

We are looking for a skilled DevOps/DataOps Engineer with a strong focus on compliance and automation to join our team. You will play a critical role in automating our deployment processes, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations through separation of duties, and enhancing the auditability of our data platform. Your expertise will help transform our data platform into a secure, efficient, and compliant powerhouse that drives our company's success.

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates to automate cloud resource provisioning.
  • Manage development, staging, and production environments to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Ensure separation of duties for SOX compliance by implementing role-based access control within Azure.
  • Develop and enforce policies that segregate responsibilities among team members.
  • Automate approval workflows to ensure changes are reviewed and approved appropriately.
  • Implement centralized logging and monitoring using tools like Azure Monitor or Log Analytics.
  • Ensure all changes and deployments are logged with detailed audit trails.
  • Automate compliance reporting to demonstrate adherence to SOX requirements.
  • Integrate security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines to detect vulnerabilities before deployment.
  • Implement compliance checks within deployment pipelines to meet regulatory standards.
  • Set up automated incident response protocols to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to integrate automated deployment processes.
  • Partner with compliance and security teams to ensure all processes meet regulatory and security standards.
  • Coordinate with operations to align automation with operational best practices.

What We Look For:

  • Technical expertise in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Skilled in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services for Data Management and AI.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure security features and practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements and IT compliance best practices.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks like ISO 27001 or NIST.
  • Expertise in implementing role-based access control and identity management.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to coach and implement version control practices for project teams and their tools.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting automation and compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to document processes and convey technical concepts clearly.

Qualifications:

  • BS in MIS, Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience of DevOps in data engineering and analytics.
  • Solid experience in Snowflake and prior experience in SQL Server.
  • Experience using Matillion preferred, Understanding of Data integration tools such as Talend or Boomi
  • Strong Azure experience with certifications.
  • The ideal candidate will have implementation, development, and Migration experience with Snowflake from SQL Server.
  • Working knowledge using SQL, Python, Spark, Snowflake, and AWS/Azure services
  • Hands-on experience in working with code repositories, CI/CD tools, Agile development, and Infrastructure as Code services
  • Experience supporting Production applications and workloads in a cloud-based environment
  • 3+ years of experience working on Data Processing Frameworks and exposure to tools within software engineering. (Parallel data processing, data flows, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and microservice architectures)
  • 1+ year of experience working on Big Data Processing Frameworks and tools
