DRS RADA Technologies, a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, is focused on proprietary radar solutions and legacy avionics systems supporting the defense industry globally. The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.

Job Responsibilities

* Work with program managers, engineering and business development to support, plan and execute program and customer demonstrations, testing, integration and real world events.
* Manage a team of junior to senior level engineers of multiple disciplines
* Support new business pursuits and organic program growth on programs of record
* Determine solutions in resolving a wide variety of technical problems, and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues in the field
* Interface directly with customer personnel to address technical support issues
* Plan, monitor, and execute field support for concurrent integration, test, and technology demonstration activities across a portfolio of complex programs
* Effectively operate and manage a team in a dynamic environment and interact with all levels of the organization and customer base
* Forecast future staffing demands and ensure programs and events are properly resourced
* Provide clear and concise direction to team members ensuring successful program execution, and proactively manage risk and issues arising from technical challenges
* Provide regular reporting of progress and status of field assignments
* Work with engineering leadership to communicate successes and challenges in the filed, providing customer and internal feedback
* Monitor team, program and event performance and identify and resolve issues
* Manage concurrent demands for resources to meet deadlines
* Responsible for supervising a team of engineers on an activity and completion of activity on time and budget
* Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
* Coordinate employee recruitment, continuous training, and performance assessments
* Stay updated on cutting-edge radar technologies, signal processing methodologies, and defense industry trends

Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 8 years of combined engineering, field support and/or integration experience
*Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant discipline is a plus
*Experience conducting performance analyses of radar systems under various conditions (e.g., environmental factors, target types, threat scenarios)
*Strong understanding of radar theory, including RF propagation, signal processing, waveforms, and detection algorithms
*Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Simulink, etc.)
*Experience with data processing and analysis of radar or similar sensor data
*Excellent oral and written communications skills and demonstrated ability to brief senior leadership and customers
*+/- 25% travel as needed
*Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one upon hire

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

The expected pay scale for this position is $130,801/year - $203,068/year.Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, Leonardo DRS considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
