As a Field Medical Director of Strategy and Operations, you will be responsible for supporting field tactical implementation across therapeutic areas and supporting field operational planning for pipeline products. You will partner across the medical and commercial organizations to drive operational efficiency and enhance communication and collaboration through your relationships.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following...

  • Drive US operations processes during the annual business process for key product(s), across US medical operations, US Commercial and Global Specialty engagement teams.

  • Field medical interface to structure and deliver performance reports for field and therapeutic team. Designs and delivers with others operational performance (Dashboards / IRM-SRMET / Leadership presentations) with VP Medical and LT as appropriate.

  • Continually evaluate and drive refinement of best-in-class processes; implement new innovations/technologies with demonstrated ability to simplify complex procedures to drive performance for the assigned field medical teams.

  • Central leader in planning strategic activities, budget preparation, budget management, data analysis and project coordination.

  • Enable field readiness of Field Medical by collaborating with new medical capabilities to ensure therapeutic, operational and governance competency of new colleagues and coordination of long-term training requirements and capability development.

  • Field medical leadership designate for governance and compliance-related activities and serve as a key interface with Specialty and Pipeline Field Medical and USMA operations and project management.

  • Proactively partner with Field Medical Leadership, US VP Specialty, Global Specialty Medical Head, Insights Lead, MI Leadership, marketing Leadership, Field Business Managers, and other internal partners crucial to Specialty MSL team success to develop and execute account medical tactics to drive strategies across portfolio

  • Analyze area/regional business trends and insights to proactively identify opportunities, remove barriers and challenges and put strategic plans in place through in-depth knowledge of the industry, managed healthcare trends and the local marketplace and customer insights.

  • Drive operational efficiency, flawless planning and execution of LT, Team meetings

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • PharmD, PhD, MBA or equivalent past-graduate degree.

  • 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including field-based experience in R&D, Medical, US Pharma or Specialty.

  • Experience with advanced Excel functions and working experience with PowerPoint.

  • Experience leading significant change initiatives.

  • Experience working in matrix environment with senior management.

  • Project management experience overseeing large projects simultaneously.

  • Experience communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Background producing concise and simple summaries of concepts and solutions with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to support reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Pharmaceutical industry field-based medical experience

  • Familiarity with Specialty TA related US physician networks and associations.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Project Management Tools.

  • Able to utilize appropriate approaches for effective communication, influence, and leadership.

  • Ability to prioritize business needs and flexibility to address them when business appropriate.

  • TA related experience - including Immunology (Lupus/RA), Renal Anemia, Hepatology.

  • Agile and distributed decision-making - using evidence and applying judgement to balance pace, rigor, and risk.

  • Managing individual and team performance.

  • Committed to delivering high quality results, overcoming challenges, focusing on what matters, execution.

  • Implementing change initiatives and leading change.

  • Sustaining energy and well-being, building resilience in teams.

  • Continuously looking for opportunities to learn, build skills and share learning both internally and externally.

  • Developing people and building a talent pipeline.

The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $188,250 to $313,750 taking into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
