Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager of Project Management to lead our dynamic project management team within the technology sector. This role is critical in overseeing the successful delivery of projects, mentoring project managers, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, leadership, and a proven ability to manage complex portfolios in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do as the Manager of Project Management:

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers to achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Strategic Oversight:

  • Develop and implement project management best practices and frameworks.
  • Align project objectives with organizational goals and ensure strategic priorities are met.
  • Monitor and report on the overall health and progress of the project portfolio.

Project Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects across various teams.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage resource allocation across the project portfolio to optimize team capacity.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the escalation point for project-related issues and risks.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear communication of project goals, status updates, and results to senior leadership.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks across the project portfolio.
  • Implement effective issue resolution strategies to maintain project momentum.

Technology Integration and Innovation:

  • Promote the adoption of cutting-edge tools and methodologies to enhance project efficiency.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and ensure the team leverages emerging technologies.

What you will bring to the team:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Certification in (PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven success in managing large, complex project portfolios in the technology industry.

Skills:

  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Proficiency in portfolio management tools such as Jira, Trello, MS Project, or similar.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $130,000 - $150,000.
