General Summary of Position: The GPS UG admissions team is seeking a part-time admissions specialist. This role is vital to supporting the needs of the UG admissions team through various administrative tasks, customer service, and student support. A strong desire to provide top-tier customer service is a must. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; answering phones, processing paperwork related to student applications, processing course registrations for non-matriculated students, entering transfer credit information, answering emails, and updating and maintaining student records. New employees will be trained to gain a working knowledge of our Student Information System (SiS) and our available student services. They will also work with UMASS Lowell faculty, students, and staff and will handle confidential information. Seeking a candidate that has outstanding phone and email etiquette and the ability to answer questions in a professional and timely manner. Minimum Qualifications (Required):
This is an on-campus 18 hours per week position. The GPS office is open from 8:30 am-8 pm M-Th and 8:30 am-5p Fri. The ideal candidate will be available to work at least one shift each week until 8 pm.
