Business Analytics Intern POSITION SUMMARY The Business Analytics Intern works closely with the Business Analytics Team by performing various analyses to support the business objectives and projects. The Business Analytics Intern position provides the opportunity to give suggestions on the analytics initiatives, show an ability to solve data problems and translate data into visual analysis that allows management to make data driven decisions. The Business Analytics Intern reports to the Manager, Business Intelligence & Automation; and will take direction from the Business Analytics Team. JOB FUNCTIONS Include the following, but other duties may be assigned. * Participate in the creation of analytic tools with data from various sources. * Translate data into solutions. * Generate ad-hoc reports. * Developing dynamic reporting tools that give information to the end-users. * Responsible for specific areas of analysis and parts of larger projects. * Writing SQL queries to move data to our BI software. * Propose recommendations on analytics initiatives. * Regular and reliable attendance. * ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Decision Science, Business Analytics, or another related field. * Strong basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint. * Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities. * Results oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment. * Experience in working with databases and database query language (SQL). * Familiar with Python and R. * Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Strong attention to detail. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. | |
