ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a CAD Technician who will be responsible for producing CAD drawings from LiDAR field scan data using MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role will demonstrate and maintain an ability to operate within the established server and file structures effectively and accurately and will be expected to have a greater knowledge of project parameters and standards and a willingness to adapt to unique requests and new procedures.

Job Functions:

  • Develops and revises detailed drawings adhering to specified standards and requirements
  • Utilizes best practices and QA/QC procedures in CAD
  • Manipulates and organizes point cloud data
  • Utilizes various reference formats
  • Maintains established server and file structures
  • Communicates clearly and consistently with company and department leaders

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Associate's degree in design and drafting technology or 3 years of relevant experience
  • 1 year of experience working with large datasets and data conversion between CAD file formats
  • Basic proficiency in LiDAR/point cloud manipulation software
  • Basic proficiency in geographic information system software
  • Intermediate proficiency in Bentley MicroStation V8i and AutoCAD software
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel * Intermediate understanding of project parameters and standards
  • Complete multiple assignments successfully through effective multi-tasking and prioritizing
