Associate Creative Director, Social and Video Content

How and where audiences consume content has changed, and Sinclair Inc. is leading the way with the creation of an array of new audience-first digital initiatives. In 2024, we launched two new national editorial brands (@CriminallyObsessed and @AmazingAmericaTV), as well as three highly successful podcasts (The Triple Option, Throwbacks, Unfiltered Soccer), but we're just getting started!

As Associate Creative Director you will work closely with both the VP of Social and the VP of Audio to help define and evolve the brand identity for our existing projects, as well as those ahead in 2025. We are looking for a creative visionary with the hands-on ability to create standout designs across all mediums and for all audiences. If you are passionate about content, have a deep understanding of how aesthetics influences culture, are willing to roll your sleeves up to do the "dirty work", and want to join a growing team, this role is perfect for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Collaborate with the VP of Social and VP of Audio to define and implement creative concepts across various mediums, including digital/display, video, and social media.


  • Lead brainstorming sessions and design sessions to cultivate a creative environment that encourages innovative ideas.


  • Oversee and mentor a small team of junior creatives, providing guidance and support throughout the creative process.


  • Present concepts to internal stakeholders and clients, articulating the creative vision and strategies effectively.


  • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of creative assets.


  • Leading Training and Education sessions for producers/editors to ensure all graphics and brand guidelines are properly implemented across all platforms.


  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance creative output.


  • Review and critique team members' work to maintain high-quality standards and adherence to brand guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Marketing, or equivalent work experience.


  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a creative role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.


  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work.


  • Expert level in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Capsule/Slate, etc.) and familiarity with digital marketing tools.


  • Strong understanding of branding principles and an ability to translate concepts into compelling visual narratives.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $80,000 to $104,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
