Job Description
*Position until October 2025, with the possibility of becoming permanent*

Serves as a working crew member.

Duties and Responsibilities


* Inspection, cleaning, disassembly, repair, and replacement of parts and assemblies, and the adjustment and reassembly of towed, self-propelled, and turret artillery and their associated mounts and carriages. This includes Stryker, Abrams, and other large caliber direct fire weapon systems.

* Takes measurements and ensures safe operation of the artillery and equipment.

* Operates overhead cranes.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications



* Must have 3 yr. experience as an automotive mechanic or 2 years military background in artillery, which includes using common hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and spring weighting machines.

* Must possess an Overhead Bridge Crane operator license within 6 months of employment.

* Must possess an Ammunition Certification Level I in accordance with ATC Regulation 350-8 within 6 months of employment.

* Must possess a Forklift License.

Physical Qualifications

* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment.

* Must be able to lift 75 lbs. unassisted.

* Must be capable of kneeling, bending and standing while performing maintenance duties.

* Must be able to distinguish colors.

* Must be able to ascend and descend equipment.

* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

* Must be a U.S. Citizen.

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.

* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening periodic retests.

* Must be able to successfully complete a background screening.

* Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

Rate of Pay/Benefits

Hourly Rate: $45.26
