The TIDE/Manguso Lab at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT seeks an organized and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to provide support for several systematic, large-scale research projects in Robert Manguso's laboratories based at the Broad Institute and MGH Cancer Center. You will join and help coordinate a talented team of research scientists and faculty that are working together to make these projects successful. You will facilitate communications, organize meetings and provide overall support for the project. We offer an informal collegial work environment that is very fast paced with multiple priorities.


This person knows how to get things done. This includes having excellent time management skills and versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced organization with constantly changing priorities. The ideal candidate for this position will be detail-oriented, organized, loves applying the latest web-based application for time management, and will work well with a diverse group of team members to support scientific discovery. The individual in this role will provide administrative, project coordination, and operations support.

Responsibilities:

- Serves as administrative liaison between the Manguso group and external organizations.
- Work with vendors and Broad lab ops to maintain lab functions running smoothly.
- HR support as needed, e.g. job postings, tracking new hires, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Coordinates project activities across collaborating groups to ensure execution of project plans.
- Maintains timelines and assists in preparation of project reports and statistics.
- Participates in meetings; facilitates agendas and coordinates data presentations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree required
- One year of work experience, at least some experience in a programmatic or an administrative support role. Experience in an academic or research setting is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and external contacts required.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to find areas that can be improved upon and come up with solutions.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities.
- Accuracy and great attention to detail and excellent follow through.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility to accommodate different situations and requirements.
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
