Job Description:
TITLE: ANDROLOGIST I POSITION INFORMATION: Primary responsibility for the daily activities of the Andrology/Endocrinology laboratory; assists in the total quality management of the laboratories to insure compliance with regulatory authorities/organizations. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: 1. Assures proper sample collection, delivery, and identification REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in a biological or physical science, Medical Technology or other health-related field; OR non-science bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 hours of college-level course work in the sciences to include 12 hours of chemistry (inorganic and organic chemistry) and 12 hours of course work in the biological sciences OR have earned an associate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution Experience: Experience using a microscope, prior training or experience in using laboratory instrumentation. Experience with Excel and Word and knowledge in the use of Access. Tissue culture experience and/or semen processing preferred. Experience in a chemistry analyzer preferred.
