Job Summary:

The Data Integration Analyst position is located within the Administration and Operations department and will report to the Assistant Director of Information Technology. This position will be responsible for managing the data and synchronization between WIDA's core applications, including Salesforce CRM, Canvas LMS, Eloqua and a custom developed WIDA Secure Portal. This position will be responsible for working with developers and other IT staff to define and design data sync processes between these critical systems and will provide continued support of these processes with monitoring and remediation of issues. Additionally, this role will create and support ad-hoc data loads and extracts in and out of our systems and develop custom reports and dashboards to present data to users.

Remote work is an option for this position on a voluntary basis; however, it is important to note this role is headquartered in Madison, WI and the tasks of the position require occasional work-related travel. If working remotely out-of-state, travel back to UW-Madison would not be reimbursable and other business travel will require cost comparisons between your home and Madison, WI.

WIDA operates in a Windows-based environment and a Dell PC laptop will be issued for use in this role. Software and virtual connection tools that are critical to our work dictate that WIDA staff work on a PC.


Responsibilities:
Assists in the assessment, design, implementation, and maintenance of databases, data warehouses, and data models needed to support analysis and reporting. Provides routine operational support and assists in training, development, and facilitation.

  • 20% Assists in assessment of business requirements, determination of appropriate strategy, and making recommendations
  • 15% Assists in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouses and data models needed to support analysis and reporting
  • 10% Provides routine operational support and issue resolution of a data warehouses and associated processes
  • 10% Provides guidance to internal stakeholders on data warehousing, database application programs, and automated procedures and reporting
  • 5% Assists in the identification, development, and facilitation of training opportunities regarding data sets and programs
  • 15% Collaborates with other IT professionals in the development of appropriate data warehousing design guidelines and effective use of tools for building and managing data models for data warehouses
  • 10% Implements and tests routine data warehousing tools and data models
  • 15% Supports the data cleaning, integration, and transformation of data in accordance with the defined target data model

Qualifications:

Minimum Years of Experience/Required Skills and Knowledge:

* Minimum 2 years of proven experience writing complex SQL queries as a database developer or data analyst
* Minimum of 2 years' experience with data integrations and transformation of data
* Experience with Azure Data Factory
* Experience working with Salesforce data
* Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
* Strong attention to detail
* Collaborative approach to problem solving
* Excellent communication, customer service, teamwork, and issue resolution skills


Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. WIDA Core hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. CT. The schedule will be determined upon hire.

It is anticipated this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location.
