Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What We're Looking For:

Iridium is seeking an Early Careers Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team. As an Early Careers Specialist, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and execution of early careers programs such as the Iridium Summer Internship and Orbit Rotational programs. This role will also be responsible for facilitation of onboaring all new hires. You will focus on coordinating recruitment efforts, managing candidate experiences, and supporting career development initiatives. If you are an individual who takes pride in your positive attitude and client service mindset, with the ability to quickly build relationships with others, then we want to talk to you. What You'll Do:

    Attend career fairs, host career days, and build relationships with colleges, universities, and student organizations
  • Respond to requests from managers throughout the recruiting process around process expectations and updates, and ensure candidate feedback is collected
  • Frequently monitor and update job postings and candidate dispositions in the applicant tracking system (iCIMS) to ensure compliance with various employment laws, AAP regulations, and organizational policies
  • Assist with all aspects of facilitating and coordinating of the annual Intern and Orbit programs
  • Prepare, distribute, process and track paperwork for new hires, such as background check requests, tax forms, and other human resources-related forms, and ensure employee profiles are set up and maintained in HR systems and facilitate new hire orientation, ensuring a smooth transition to Iridium
  • Partner with other stakeholders in the onboarding process, such as accounting, IT, security, and hiring managers


Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree - Human Resources, Business, Communication, Psychology or related field
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 0-2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, campus recruitment, or program coordination
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate key messages and ideas clearly and effectively
  • Be able to clearly present program updates and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Can cultivate meaningful relationships with candidates, your manager and members of your team, while being open and responsive to constructive feedback as they guide and mentor you
  • The ability to think outside the box to help solve problems, with the humility to ask for help when needed
  • Adaptability to a dynamic environment and the readiness to take on any new tasks that are handed to you
  • A motivation to achieve outcomes and results
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks at once and completing them on time with mostly no errors
  • An eagerness to develop professionally, continuously learn, and share knowledge with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess attention to detail
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize assignments
  • Ability to maintain confidential information

Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Experience with ADP, iCIMS, and Handshake a plus
  • Knowledge of early career recruitment trends or best practices

We'll also need you to:

  • Travel 4-6 times a year for team meetings and college campus recruiting events
  • Be adaptable to flexible work hours during peak recruitment seasons

Work Environment:

This position is hybrid and in the office three (3) days each week. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer with occasional lifting and/or moving of up to 50 lbs. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
