TekSystems is looking to hire a Claims' Processing Assistant in Overland Park, Kansas! Benefits of this Role: * Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days' work from home * Flexible hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, with some flexibility to accommodate business needs * Opportunity to convert to permanent employee after 26 weeks * Competitive hourly rate Job Summary: The Claims Processing Assistant, under close supervision, performs customer service and/or claims processing functions. This role reports to an Operations Supervisor or to Claims Team Leader. Job Responsibilities: {Duties may include but are not limited to} * Assign and Register New Claims * Answer Incoming Customer Service Call * Receive new losses and verifies accuracy of information via coverage. * Register new loss information on system. * Perform all file updates on system as directed by claim reps/team leader. * Register loss payments on system. * Provide customer service to agents insureds clients and other customers. * Prepare all loss registration forms. Requirements: * 1-2 years of customer service {Recent Experience} * 1-2 years of previous claims processing {Recent Experience} * Professional written and oral communication skills, with ability to format own professional email responses * Organizational skills, including simple adding and subtracting * Basic working knowledge of Windows and experience with computer systems * Keyboarding and data entry skills * High School Diploma required Work Environment: * Hybrid office environment: 3 days in office, 2 days work from home * Flexible hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, with some flexibility to accommodate business needs * Business casual attire Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
