YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE We are looking for a End User Support Intern in 401 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60611 USA. Your mission will be to: Provide technical support to IT external and internal customers relating to personal computers. Support IT external and internal customers on desktop applications by evaluating functional requirements and supporting on-going effective utilization of the applications. This role requires external vendor interactions for support of IT service delivery. YOUR PROFILE Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Support desktop applications, including user interface, word processing, spreadsheet, database and application system integration tools. (Google Apps, Office 2003-2016, Windows XP/7/10) Setup, upgrade and install desktop systems. Configure, install and test hardware, operating system, peripherals and application software. Solid understanding of PC Imaging concepts and systems. Provide desktop technical support to all IT external and internal customers. Evaluate desktop (personal computers, printers, faxes, etc.) requirements and issues; and identify and recommend/implement corrective action. Solid understanding of networking concepts including Cisco AnyConnect VPN and home/small workgroup network configurations. Experience using remote support technologies (VNC, TeamViewer, LogMeIn, etc.) and conferencing systems (Cisco IP Telephony, Google Meet, and WebEx video conferencing endpoints). Assist IT applications group in support of Laboratory, Technical Services, and administrative applications including Adobe Creative Suite, PDF systems,. Support IT service requests and hardware procurement including New Hire and Separation setups. Work closely with the Network and System engineers (Regional & Global) in supporting the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure. Utilize and have solid understanding for using IT Service Management tools & ticketing systems. Provide administration and support of: Active Directory administration, Citrix delivered applications; Citrix Receiver, Provide basic support for the administrative tasks related to the Cisco IP Telephony systems (UCM, Unity, ER, Jabber, Contact Center). Communicate project/request status and issues to IT management and IT customers. Notify management of issues and recommended solutions to ensure projects are completed on-scope, on-time, on-budget, and meeting project requirements from the business customer. Develop/identify training manuals and in-person sessions; coordinate training of users on desktop applications. Responsible for keeping support documentation current and published for team collaboration. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness of company labs and desktop application products and trends. Support corporate quality and improvement process (TQM) working closely with management to support the design, review, and implementation of process policies. This position has the responsibilities and authority to identify departures from the quality system or test procedures and document such observations in accordance with the prescribed complaint system. Supports and/or assists with projects including new site implementations related to networking, computer/printer connectivity, and telephony. Setup, upgrade and install desktop security tools (antivirus such as TrendMicro Apex One, backup such as Code42 or Druva). Other related duties as assigned. At any time, the incumbent must behave and operate in an ethical and Code of Conduct compliant manner.

Physical Demands and Work Environment This position primarily works in an office environment in which surroundings are usually comfortable. This position may spend long periods of time in front of a computer terminal. Physical dexterity is necessary to effectively manipulate a keyboard. The incumbent can expect extended time spent in a sitting position. This position may experience some stress as a result of trying to meet clients' demands that may be on a tight schedule. Occasional adjustment to normal working hours may be needed when working on special projects or to accommodate international time constraints.
