Apply Now > Save Job Job Saved To support product development efforts as required to complete system solutions in support of the Corporate Win Strategy. Performs engineering for controls systems design, specifications, programming, simulation and testing, and start up assistant. Performs engineering and manufacturing analysis on an assigned project basis. Such projects include: improving operating performance through the development of new and revised production methods, new tooling and equipment selection and implementation, analyze proper utilization of employees and equipment, energy conservation, waste reduction, analysis of new materials, and waste removal. - Supports efforts to design and engineer control systems in associated markets for the purpose of seamless integration of the various components of the system. Identify industry specifications and determine conformance. - Develop control systems interface, maintenance, and training approaches and documentation including functional diagrams, schematics, interface control documents, reports of performance, function, safety, and reliability requirements analysis, system function, and/or existing technology/manufacturing capability. - Furnish all controls-related hardware and peripherals. Design web-based user interface for view by engineers, support and service technicians, and end users. - Provide technical support for system installation as needed. Support Parker Sales and Divisions in customer technical visits. - Provide on-site controls system commissioning when requested. - Keep informed of new technologies, developments, products, applications and competitor trends. Identify and recommend new products, solutions, technical brochures and engineering/ application data needs to comply with industry needs. - Utilize Parker's Systems Development Process to insure system reliability. Facilitate and participate in system FMEAs and the development process. Work in close harmony with other divisions and sales management in making Parker the number one systems solution provider. Help elevate Parker's image with Global OEM advanced engineering teams. - Lead or participate in studies to evaluate or determine feasibility of new or modified equipment and related systems considering technical and economic factors, available resources, time constraints, and customer impact. Present study results and recommendations to appropriate people. - Perform other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives or as assigned by the immediate supervisor - Bachelor's Degree required. Electrical Engineering degree preferred and 3-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. - Demonstrated project management skills and creativity in new product design required. - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and CAD software required. - Sound presentational skills including experience in using Power Point to develop presentations required. - Must have ability to deal with people at a cross-functional level. - Position requires ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form in order to present information and respond to inquiries from employees, customers, and suppliers This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
