Job Summary

The Business Analyst will be the primary IT liaison providing functional support of the Manufacturing, Production Planning and Scheduling domains. Responsible for documenting requirements, design, configuration, testing and delivery of projects and enhancement requests. Coordinates and collaborates with business team members, IT development team and project management team. Accountable for keeping up with the latest technologies, products, features and applications in their domain.

What You Will Be Doing



  • Provide functional support of applications in Manufacturing, Production Planning and Scheduling domains.
  • Assist in the configuration and implementation of ERP, MES, Production Planning and Scheduling, and other applications in the domain assigned.
  • Identify business process re-engineering opportunities, collaborate with business team to provide solutions to improve business efficiency, manufacturing lead time, quality, customer service and cost control.
  • Investigate multiple solutions to business problems and prepare analyses to justify solutions.
  • Gain expertise on the functional configuration, capabilities and usage of any application currently or in the process of being deployed.
  • Work with the business to guide and tailor the application to solve business problems in the most efficient means possible.
  • Develop test cases and perform comprehensive functional testing.
  • Work closely with other IT Staff and development groups to resolve issues and problems and implement new applications.
  • Provide training on any deployed applications in both a one-on-one and group setting
  • Investigate the cause of bugs and issues by working through knowledge bases, reading manuals or using other reference materials.


What is Required



  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain and Operations Management or relevant field; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 2 years' experience in business analysis or operations in a Manufacturing environment or similar work.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, production planning and scheduling business processes.
  • Ability to communicate and explain details in a clear & professional manner to a diverse group of Associates.
  • Excellent presentation skills using PowerPoint and intermediate proficiency with Excel for data analysis.
  • Demonstrates an aptitude for learning and is receptive to various training methods.
  • Must be able to travel to manufacturing and corporate facilities as business needs require.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with Oracle ERP System:


o Production Planning and Scheduling systems (preferably Ortems).

o Manufacturing Execution systems (preferably Apriso).
