WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A BIM COORDINATOR?

As a BIM Coordinator at Journey Group, you'll play a pivotal role in the construction coordination process by implementing advanced BIM technology in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include reviewing 3D models from design teams and contractors, performing initial setup, and continuously updating project models throughout their lifecycle. You'll leverage Virtual Reality technology for 3D visualization and facilitate weekly coordination meetings to address clashes among trades. Additionally, you'll conduct early design reviews and assist the Preconstruction Department with 3D model quantity extraction.

Your expertise will shine as you create 4D schedules using Autodesk Navisworks and generate precise construction drawings when needed. A key part of your role will involve fostering strong relationships within the team as you provide insights into innovative methodologies and assist with laser scan data processing, ensuring quality and efficiency across diverse construction projects.


Are You A Good Fit For This BIM Coordinator ROle?

To excel as a BIM Coordinator at Journey Group, a strong foundation in relevant educational qualifications is essential, such as a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or architecture. Candidates should have at least five years of experience in an architectural or engineering production environment, particularly with Autodesk Revit on design and construction projects. Proficiency in the latest software tools, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM360 applications, is critical for success. A solid understanding of construction processes, advanced PC skills, and the ability to coordinate 2D and 3D models effectively will set you apart.

Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines are key traits for this fast-paced role. Additionally, being a self-starter with professional conduct and a commitment to Journey Group's core values will contribute to your effectiveness in this collaborative environment.
