We are seeking a skilled System Administrator with expertise in Mobile Device Management (MDM), VMware Horizon, and Microsoft Exchange. The role involves managing and maintaining MDM platforms, ensuring secure deployment, compliance, and troubleshooting for enrolled devices. Responsibilities include administering VMware Horizon environments, performing routine maintenance, managing user access, and addressing virtual desktop issues. Additionally, the candidate will handle Microsoft Exchange tasks such as mailbox management, troubleshooting email flow, and implementing security policies. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of system administration, end-user support, and experience with enterprise IT environments.

We Require

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or closely related field
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/orjob-related experience may substitute for therequired education on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Five years of experience system engineering\administration
  • Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science and four years of experience in system engineering\administration

Job Contributions

  • Provide support for troubleshooting Office 365 applications, Teams configurations, and Intune device management, as well as developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts for automation and user provisioning
  • Manage mailboxes, distribution groups, and permissions in Microsoft Exchange, while monitoring and troubleshooting email flow issues, including delays or delivery failures
  • Implement and enforce security policies, such as encryption, remote wipe, and access control in MDM and VM Horizon
  • Manage and maintain the VMware Horizon environment, including virtual desktop pools and VM templates
  • Creates reports and documentation that can be presented to management to convey appropriate metrics for the environment, Applies to MDM and VDI environments
  • Manages and monitors infrastructure and system installations, including configuration, testing, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot virtual desktop access issues, connectivity problems, and application errors
  • Create and manage user profiles, assign virtual desktops, configure permissions, and troubleshoot issues related to virtual desktop access, connectivity, and application errors
  • Installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains enterprise software and hardware with little or no assistance
  • Provides support, management, including customer workstation equipment, phones, VDI systems, and Office 365 environments, ensuring functionality, updates, and issue resolution

Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in an office setting in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. It requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities. Travel to and from job-related locations is required both during and outside the scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles or private vehicles used on county business. May require exerting up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly.
