The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is looking for an experienced project analyst to coordinate revisions to technical manuals to be used by Naval personnel. This position will drive improvement, process commonality among the publishing project teams, and promote a cooperative team atmosphere. Job responsibilities include: * Plan, schedule, and track technical manual revisions from conception through distribution. The optimal candidate will have experience with a variety of publication software applications desired, including MS Word and XML and SGML editors. The candidate will also maintain existing and develop new metrics to monitor product quality and timeliness, identify negative trends, and recommend corrective actions. The Project Analyst (PA) will maintain local publishing processes to optimize and minimize risk to product quality. The PA will ensure publishing operations, procedures, and practices are in accordance with governing document requirements. The work is classified, so the job is mostly on site with minimal flexibility for telework. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Preferred Skills
* Experience in developing and maintaining project schedules for large projects or programs. * Experience working on project teams and developing and supporting project execution. * Experience with XML and SGML is preferred. * Strong editorial and language skills. * Ability to work independently. * Analytical ability. * Strong organizational skills. * Ability to analyze content for general clarity and to organize information logically. * Affinity for computer applications, especially those involving document composition, project management, and content management. * Demonstrated attention to detail. Pay Range
$68,800.00 - $105,300.00 annually
