Title:Electrical Apprenticeship,Req ID:6084 City, State:Westfield, WI HOURS: Will rotate to work on all shifts WAGE: $26.21 per hour JOB DESCRIPTON: Electrical and Instrumentation Apprentice works in industrial plants to install, service, troubleshoot and perform maintenance (preventive and predictive) on electrical equipment and circuitry. The program is 5 years in length, which combines both paid related instruction (PRI) and on the job instruction in the workplace. Schooling (PRI) is typically one day a week and is part of the work week. Schooling is completed at NTC (Northeast Technical College) in Wausau. During the apprenticeship, the apprentice will be rotated every year to work on all shifts until the last year, to allow the apprentices to work the various shifts and gain knowledge from the current workers in the trade. Once in the last year of the program, the apprentice may secure a permanent position/placement through the job bidding process. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a high school graduate and be able to provide a copy of diploma and transcripts. Able to tolerate varied temperatures, work independently, able to get along with co-workers. Able to work varied overtime as needed. Must meet the Maintenance physical abilities. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Company will provide required tools & equipment necessary for function in this position. Employee will be required to wear safety shoes and will be provided prescription safety glasses if needed. Employee will wear safety equipment as it relates to the requirement for the task. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug testand background check arerequired. |
