The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. You will work as part of a team supporting three different managers on the North side of Indianapolis. This position requires the Operating Engineer to drive a personal vehicle between buildings and track mileage for reimbursement. Local market requirements may vary slightly. Schedule: Approximately 7am-4pm Monday through Friday + rotating on-call (1 week on call every 4 weeks) WHAT YOU'LL DO * Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by any licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance * Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests * Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks * Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable) * Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls * Comply with all safety procedures * Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs * Other projects and tasks to be assigned WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE * 3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry * Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable * Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance) * Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs * Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall * Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive * Strong customer service skills WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU * Join an industry leader and shape the future of commercial real estate * Deep investment in cutting-edge technology to power your work * Proposed salary: $35-40/hr * Comprehensive and competitive benefits plan * A supportive, caring and diverse work environment designed for your growth and well-being | |
