This role is responsible for the accurate and timely picking, packing, preparation, and shipping of all customer orders. Additionally, the role is responsible for accurate material handling and cycle count functions.

What You Will Do:

  • Manually pick orders and stacks them onto pallets using a scanner.
  • Ensure proper staging and identification once an order has been completely picked
  • Use various pieces of warehouse/shipping equipment (manual pallet jack, electric and propane fork trucks) to move pallets
  • Verify quantities, quality of items and proper labeling of products that are being shipped
  • Examine all packaging and contents of items for quality
  • Verify all packaging information against the packing list and SAP
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Customer Service, Logistics and Plant Production Teams
  • Manage shipping box assembly, induction for packaging and label preparation/application
  • Load/Unload trailers with packed boxes and pallets
  • Identify items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicate with Supervisor and/or Lead
  • Maintain the 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pulls completed shrink-wrapped orders to the dock for packers
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies
  • Follow all warehouse procedures and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Green Tree/ Pittsburgh, PA
  • Work week and shift: M-F / 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Compensation package offered: $20.85/hr

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or GED Equivalent
  • Prior warehouse experience.
  • Able to operate a forklift

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry, and properly handle up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment (dust, noise, odors)
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or any relevant certification
  • Two or more years working in a warehouse that supported a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (examples: data entry, Internet/e-mail, etc.)

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$20.85/hour This position pays an hourly rate and is eligible for overtime pay. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
