Fincantieri ACE Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group company, currently has an opportunity for a Supervisor of Skilled Trades at the Green Bay, Wisconsin location. Fincantieri ACE Marine is a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled aluminum construction facility. Purposely designed for assembly line manufacturing of aluminum vessels, the facility uses innovative modular construction techniques and component manufacturing. Efficiencies in production are achieved by allowing modules to be pre-outfitted to a very high degree while internal compartments are still very accessible. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy daily. Duties include providing support in a customer Leads a crew(s) of skilled trade personnel in an area of the manufacturing organization with responsibility for fabrication and/or assembly of product for the construction of ships for the delivery to both commercial and military customers. Manages assigned crew(s) to attain quality, schedule and cost objectives. Reviews and understands department, organization, and company goals and objectives and supports execution plans that ensure positive predictable results. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or a related field. This requirement can also be met with 4 (four) years supervisory experience or 8+ (eight) years of trade experience with evidence of leadership skills. Experience in a manufacturing or shipbuilding environment is preferred. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
