Preference will be given to applicants with a background in computer networking. Additional desired areas of research and teaching expertise include, but are not limited to:
The successful applicant will contribute significantly to both research and teaching efforts within the ECE department and across the broader university community. The search committee will begin reviewing applications on October 15, 2024, and continue until the position is filled. For full consideration, applications should be submitted prior to that date. Possible start dates, coinciding with USU's semester schedule, are January 2025 and August 2025. Responsibilities A tenure-track assistant professor is expected to develop and supervise a vibrant, externally-funded program of research and form inter-disciplinary collaborations with other faculty in the ECE Department and the university. The assistant professor is also expected to be an effective teacher at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels. The ideal candidate must be capable of obtaining externally-funded research, producing peer reviewed journal publications, recruiting and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, becoming an effective classroom teacher, and providing meaningful service to Utah State University, the citizens of Utah, and the profession.
