We are seeking a Collector I who is detail oriented, has a desire to learn, and has a commitment to providing excellent member service to work in our fast paced Member Solutions department. To become a member of our team, you will need one year collection experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to establish good working relationships with members and staff. You must be a highly motivated by achieving goals, a self-starter who also likes to be part of a team and who enjoys a challenge.
As a Collector I, you will be responsible for actively working assigned queues and may be collecting negative share accounts and/or all delinquent loan types. You will be expected to achieve monthly goals through effective collection calls and other collection measures, such as skip tracing. Your ability to negotiate, handle multiple demands, achieve collection and referral goals and maintain a professional demeanor during difficult situations will be key to success in this position one year of collections experience in a financial institution or collection agency.
The successful candidate will need a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and must be willing to work a flexible range of hours between 8am and 8pm with some Saturdays required. Note: overtime may be required with little advance notice.

Required Skills and Competencies:
* One year of collections experience in a financial institution or collection agency desired.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent analytical and interpretive skills.
* Ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and meet strict deadlines.
* Demonstrate expertise using automated collection modules, Microsoft Office Suite, and other personal computer applications.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including working overtime hours with little advance notice and weekend hours.
