Hyundai Motor Group North America Quality Center(NAQC) is the quality arm of Hyundai Motor Group(HMG) based in S. Korea and oversees all quality problems raised in North America. NAQC Investigation Team's primary objective is to identify a range of quality issues within the North American market and implement targeted corrective actions to minimize quality problems in the field. This ensures alignment with the increasing demands of sophisticated consumers, contributing to the company's overall success. Hyundai Motor Group North America Quality Center (NAQC) is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer II at Chino/Irvine, CA office who will:

responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and processes for software and information systems. This role involves thorough testing, analysis, and reporting to ensure that information systems meet stringent quality standards before deployment. The Quality Information Engineer also collaborates with software developers and other IT staff to troubleshoot any issues and enhance the overall reliability and security of the systems.

The ideal candidate is....





    • Monitor, analyze, summarize, & report warranty claims using in house systems to track and identify top or emerging issues
    • Work closely with Mass Production team to understand the require info/data to assist in warranty analysis
    • Plan and establish new systems to assist in capturing warranty increase, resolution verification, and identify vehicles for investigation
    • Establish a system to gather all in house information for all staff to review weekly
    • Monitor and report auto industry status utilizing government and non-government sites related to complaints, campaign, and recalls
    • Monitor, summarize, and report on JDP IQS/VDS, CR. forums, etc.
    • Respond to other requests and requirements as determined by Management as necessary
    • Create and present findings as assigned
    • Travel up to 20% of time domestically and internationally
    • Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
    • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines
    • Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization
    • Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems
    • Collaborating with database developers to improve data collection and storage processes
    • Performing statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity
    • Running data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions, as well as cleaning data
    • Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends
    • Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs


    Documenting processes and maintaining data records


  • Studies J.D. Power, Consumer Reports, and other Automotive Syndicated studies to identify market trends and benchmark competitors that are Best In Class



  • Candidates considered will...



    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Programming Languages: Python
    • Database Management: SQL
    • Analytical Skills: Problem-Solving, Analytical Thinking

    • Office setting with potential hybrid or remote work arrangements.


    Minimal Travel: The role generally requires minimal travel as most tasks are performed on-site or remotely. Travel may be required for training, conferences, or visits to remote data centers or offices.

    Compensation Range : $55,000 ~ $60,000 (Annnually)
