THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON AN ANTICIPATED VACANCY, EXPECTED TO OCCUR IN FEBRUARY/MARCH 2025.

PAY: $105,000 - $120,000

JOB SUMMARY: This position provides systems engineering support for the 50th Communications Squadron, United States Space Force, at Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

PRIMARY DUTIES:



  • Provide communications systems design, architecture design, and customer support in defining current and future requirements.
  • Determine technical solutions as well as develop, design and implement site support.
  • Perform either or both a desktop or physical site survey including accessing communications pathways, both inside and outside plant, comm rooms, main communications distribution points, and customer locations for communications service delivery determinations.
  • Provide problem analysis, technical assessments, and identify potential operational impacts to the 50 CS Government personnel.
  • Ensure that all designed and developed technical solutions integrate with local, Air Force, and DoD architectures.
  • Identify, document, and digitally store architectural and infrastructure changes as they occur within Government approved system of record.
  • Interface with and support other contractors and government agencies on daily basis.
  • Provide Monthly Activity Reports (MAR) to the COR and Government Program Manager and maintain the records IAW records management procedures.
  • Prepare, review, update, and deliver written procedures for the Government work center.
  • Provide design support, on behalf of the 50 CS, for all Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), Letters of Agreement (LOAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Operating Level Agreements (OLAs) requiring communications capability pertaining to Schriever AFB circuits.
  • Provide designs that include system initialization, IT device configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, security, network protocols, and network encryption.
  • Perform configuration changes, including configuration and management of IT devices within Schriever Circuit Actions' administrative control.
  • Recommend courses of action to address security system problems on Government networks.
  • Provide the design of upgrades, consolidation or new requirements to improve Schriever AFB network and cable infrastructure.
  • Review, coordinate and provide the implementation of technical solutions.
  • Reengineer solutions to resolve any issues identified with new installations.
  • Provide implementation engineering, coordination, upgrade, and solution installation support.
  • Design communication infrastructure on base specifically tailored for the customer in support of new systems, upgrades, new circuit requirements, and the inclusion of new technology.



REQUIREMENTS:



  • Experience with the development, design, and implementation of enterprise systems.
  • Experience with DoD systems infrastructure, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience providing technical solutions.
  • Experience with commercial computer-aided design (CAD) or simulator products to document the requirement topology and architecture.
  • Familiarity with Phoenix and CVC as systems of record (Desired)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.



RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 10 years' experience in DoD IT environment

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology or related field.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI
