Job Overview:

Position will be remote and reporting to the International Tax Manager. The Senior Tax Analyst's responsibility is to perform income tax functions for Ingersoll Rand Corporation and other related entities, as detailed below. He/she will provide assistance with international compliance and will also assist with international aspects of the income tax provision on a quarterly and annual basis.

Responsibilities:



  • Assist with preparation of all international calculations and components of U.S. income tax return

  • Assist with preparation of international aspects of quarterly tax provision including Subpart F/GILTI, BEAT, Section 163(j), FDII, FTC utilization, uncertain tax positions (FIN48) and assertion with respect to foreign earnings (APB23)

  • Roll forward US international tax attributes (E&P, tax pools, basis etc.) * Assist foreign businesses with quarter close process, including ensuring tax journal entry is accurately recorded, monitoring cash taxes and reviewing material permanent adjustments and deferred income tax balances

  • Assist in gathering information to support international aspects of the IRS tax audit

  • Interact and communicate effectively with various business personnel and business units to identify variables which will impact Subpart F, GILTI, and BEAT, Section 163(j), FDII, and uncertain tax positions (FIN48)

  • Assist with gathering information and preparing transfer pricing documentation

  • Assist with return to provision preparation

  • Assist with any new acquisition/OBS adjustments

  • Support tax department with special projects



Requirements:



  • 3+ years of tax experience in a medium to large organization or CPA firm.

  • Master's degree in accounting desirable.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Must be able to utilize technology to enhance efficiencies.



Preferences:


  • Experience with One Source-OTP and/or OIT compliance is a strong plus.

  • Good analytical and research skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Strong achievement- and results-oriented focus to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
