About the Role Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Federal Sales Major Account Executiveto drive revenue growth within the U.S. Federal Government sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to manage and expand relationships with federal customers, develop new business, and provide innovative hardware, software solutions, and consulting servicestailored to government needs.
This role requires you to live within a reasonable commuting distance to Austin, TX so that you can adequately execute your job responsibilities. Your Impact - Develop and strengthen relationships with federal agencies and leverage existing contracts.
- Identify new business opportunities, positioning Canon's software solutions, consulting services, and hardwareto replace competitive products. - Provide consultative sales expertise, understanding agency workflows to deliver tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency. - Continuously expand technical knowledge of enterprise software, document management, workflow automation, and print solutionsthrough training, certifications, and industry research. - Collaborate closely with Canon's software engineers, professional services team, local dealer network, government contractors, and teaming partnersto deliver industry-leading solutions. - Engage with the Bid team to pursue transactional hardware and softwareopportunities on eBuy and SAM.gov. - Established high level relationships with customer base that will enhance long term working partnerships. - Manage and grow the federal account base by at least 5% year-over-year while meeting revenue budget targets within the territory. About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in software solutions, consulting services, federal government sales, or office equipment/enterprise solutions. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Experience with Salesforce or asimilar CRM platform. - Based in the Austin Texas metro area, - Experience sellinginto system integrators, government contractors, or federal agenciesis a plus. - Strong understanding of Managed Print Services (MPS), document management, and digital transformation solutionspreferred. - Knowledge of federal procurement processes and compliance requirements is beneficial. - High-Volume Production and Central Reprographic Department (CRD) experience is a plus. - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (local travel required). - Willingness to travel overnight at least 10% of the time for sales activities and HQ meetings. We are providing the anticipated base salary range for this role: $60,000 - $81,550 annually. This role is eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. This role is eligible for a transportation allowance.
