Job Summary

The quality technician will conduct problem review, containment of parts, root cause determination, corrective action, and verification activities. This individual will assist the site quality leadership in developing quality systems and implementing quality improvements.

Primary Duties

  • Seekand implement opportunities for poka-yoke in all processes
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Create inspection plans to support operations
  • Auditproduct documentationtravelerfor compliance to ensureeffective production
  • Perform layered audits of work instructionsat all work cellsfor process compliance
  • Perform materials audits at all work cells for productcompliance
  • Audit outgoing shipments of key attributes
  • Aid in the certification and documenting of all test testing equipment
  • Review of incoming new materials for compliancetostandards
  • Lead nonconformances and material containment
  • Perform inspection ofproducts received aswarranty/labor claims
  • Participate and assist the team in the root cause process

Qualifications

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment and a good understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Working understanding of materials, manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Demonstration of excellent communication skills emphasizing direct dialogue
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented, willing to take initiate to learning new information
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Demonstration of advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, focus on Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in cross-functional team environment
  • Working Knowledge of product qualification testing and inspection tools and equipment
  • Familiar with automotive vehicle component function, as a preference
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, focus on Excel and Access
  • Experience in cross-functional team environment
  • Physical Requirement:Capability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Working Conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.Noiselevel is usually moderate.

Education / Experience

  • Minimum3-yearexperience in quality, operations or manufacturing role, associate degree preferred
  • Working experience within a light manufacturing or distribution environment.
